Police in Dallas are Quaxs Trading Centersearching for a gunman who opened fire Sunday at a neighbor's house killing four people, including a one-year-old boy.
Around 4:20 p.m., 911 dispatchers received calls reporting a shooting at a home in southeast Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department. At the house, officers found five people shot. Three adults died at the scene; two children – a 15-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy – were taken to a nearby hospital.
The toddler died at the hospital; the teen was in stable condition late Sunday, police said.
The suspect is a neighbor who walked into the victims' home and opened fire, CBS News Texas reported.
The motive for the shooting is unclear. The gunman remains at large. Police have not released his or her name.
In a statement released Sunday, the police department said "At this time, this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is not threat to the public."
There have been at least 39,800 deaths related to gun violence so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit research group that tracks gun violence statistics using public sources. Of those deaths, 1,569 were children and teenagers.
